A Microlearning Series
Background
In November 2022, the murder of Mahsa Jina Amini, a 22-year-old Kurdish woman, sparked widespread protests and demands for justice, civil and women’s rights, and democracy in Iran.
As I watched the situation unfold, I realized that there was a great need for accurate and reliable information about the situation in Iran.
Many people outside of Iran were not aware of the severity of the situation or the specific issues at hand. This inspired me to create the Woman Life Freedom Series, a microlearning initiative designed to educate people about the Woman Life Freedom movement in Iran, its challenges, and its aspirations for a democratic and peaceful Iran.

About the Woman Life Freedom Series
Project Overview
The Woman Life Freedom Series is a microlearning series that harnesses the power of e-learning to raise awareness about Iran and the issues that matter most to its people.
By providing accessible and informative educational content, we inspire people to take action and support the Woman Life Freedom movement in Iran.
Our Mission
Our mission is to educate people about the situation in Iran and inspire them to take action. We believe that education is a powerful tool that can drive transformative change and lead to progress. We envision a democratic and peaceful Iran where all individuals have the freedom to live their lives without fear of oppression.

My role
I started with conducting an audience analysis survey to identify the gaps in my audience’s knowledge and their specific learning needs.
Since then, I have created three infographics, onboarded four instructional designer volunteers as project leaders, designed templates to support the team’s work, built and managed the WLF Series website (still under construction), overseen the instructional designers and volunteers, and ensured that all content meets our standards for quality and accuracy.

Based on my audience analysis survey, one of the topics that my audience wanted to learn more about was how they could support their Iranian colleagues and employees outside Iran.
I interviewed 14 subject matter experts and conducted thorough research before designing and creating the following infographics.
Project Update
The Woman Life Freedom Series is an ongoing project, and our team is committed to creating informative and engaging content that promotes a democratic and peaceful Iran.
Currently, each of our four project leaders is working on their own section of the microlearning series, focusing on different aspects of the Woman Life Freedom movement and its challenges.
We continue to conduct thorough research and engage with subject matter experts to ensure that our content is accurate and up-to-date.
Our goal is to provide accessible and informative educational content that inspires action and drives transformative change.
